Edgemont 2nd Alarm

5018 West Chester Pk

64, 41, 104-7 on intial dispatch

FB advised 64-9 of numerous calls reporting heavy smoke. FB then called for RIT23
104-7 arrived with heavy smoke showing with a working fire inside. 64-9 quickly went to second alarm due to manpower issues.

Second alarm brought Company 73, Medic 53-7B and Chester County 54
Command also special called Canteen 47 and Air/Light 52 due to Air 71 being OOS

Operation went into defensive mode, with Ladder Pipes. I believe that building just had renovations performed within the past year or so.

Look closely at the picture, the bottom and middle of the doorway seems clear of smoke in the direction that fan is pointing. Uh oh.....

The fire marshal reported that the place had rope soaked in a flammable liquid and was strung threw out the ventilation system.
