how many birds do y9u guys have in PA? we have to medivac choppers, known as lifestar 1 and lifestar 2. However PA is a much bigger state....lol

Pretty close to the helicopter too. Honestly if that thing has a mechanical failure.. I would not want to be there right now.

Some companies SOG'S are to pack up and stretch a line in case anything goes wrong. Such as a mechanical failure or god forbid the aircraft goes down. Yes it is putting emergency personel in a dangerous situation. I was told by our Aeromedical system I.E. (SOUTHSTAR) that if they were to go down while taking off or landing, they would end up at least a mile or less away after the crash. So therefore we stand fast by our apparatus just in case.

i think we have landed 1 southstar helocopter in the last 10 years lol being inside 15 miles of cooper is nice lol ground transport for all

Similar to Ladder971 who is two towns away.....Lifestar demands an Engine, however our sops mandate a dry line and pak crew (foam is preferred to be ready for use just in case, we have a foam cell)
