Just another vehicle fire... never seen a couple guys so proud to put out a vehicle fire. HAHA... and who parked that rig??? That position didn't benefit anyone except the driver.... assuming you're taking that last pic from the car looking at the rig Oh yeah and was there need to take the windows out??? it obvious ya did, b/c there's un-melted broken glass on the 4th pic down.

Breaking stuff is not acceptable... doesn't matter who you are, who's stuff it is or how f**ked up it may be, YOU DO NOT BREAK IT! I'd have someones head rolling if I saw this...

Hey i was venting ;D and perhaps having fun while doing it ;D I'm going to say this cautiously, but you're setting the bar for 13... ya need to not give more fuel to the fire. Take it however ya want to... I really hate being critical, but pointing stuff out to so you can be a successful firefighter there "T".

as for the windows i guess u can say its a Pg thing we break sh*t when we work ;D and its GREAT AH... NO!!! Well... since you "Vented" an engine compartment fire by knocking out the passenger compartment windows only can make thing worse before better. Not only did you cause a bigger hazard, you also could have added fuel to the fire causing a bigger fire and mess... But Im sure you know that or don't they teach that any more in FF1?

"i guess u can say its a Pg thing we break sh*t when we work ;D and its GREAT"That comment right there is why there's problems out there... Cooter, Ill say this to what was posted above... It is in no way a PG thing to break shit when they work or should it ever be. There are many PROFESSIONAL FF's Both Volunteer and Career in PG that would find the statement both unprofessional but also disturbing. In future statements Tony, I would also choose better words for things... Cause you never know who will read or see your posts.

Pump I agree there are several amazing guys out there... when politics are being used against vollies out there. Being choosy with words is a must... chock it up to a learning lesson.

Who cares if they broke the windows, the car is trashed anyway.

Who cares if they broke the windows, the car is trashed anyway. Sure the car is trashed and will be totalled, But that doesn't mean you go ape shit on the vehicle. Oh, I'd care a lot if I was the OIC and I had some probie going Chuck Norris on a vehicle or SOME ONE's property for no reason. There is a time and place for breaking stuff, and that place is not on the fire grounds. When should we care? When we're in court trying to explain why and how we fucked up? or when we are buying that person a new car, after the courts awards the owner damages?

I understand about not gong ape shit on a vehicle or whatever. I guess I thought there may have been a reason for them to break out the windows, which apparently was not.
It would be different if they passenger compt was on fire and you were venting to get the smoke out, however I would hope you would "TRY BEFORE YOU PRY" technique.
As an officer, I would no way condone breaking something just for the sake of breaking stuff.

But clearly this was just an engine compartment fire with no extension to the passenger compartment.
