EPHRATA BOROUGH, PA -- On Tuesday around 1130Hrs, The Rescue Local was transmitted to the intersection of Route 272 and Grandview Drive with reported people trapped. Units from Company 16, Rescue Squad Company 115 and EMS units from 112 & Medic 4 went en route with the add'l information from Communications of a two vehicle PIC with two people trapped. Chief 16 arrived on scene reporting a two vehicle crash in front of Ephrata Hospital with two patients confined and held all units on the assignment. Engine 16-2 and Rescue Squad 115 went to work along with EMS to help the injured people from the vehicle. Both patients were transported to Lancaster General Hospital by Ambulances 112-1 & 112-2.
