Sounds like it was a very windy night, was the wind helping the fire to spread?

Sounds like it was a very windy night, was the wind helping the fire to spread? Very windy and cold... and yes it was pushing it.

I figured as much. You can really hear the wind in your videos.

So if you have a powercall does that mean you don't need to stop for red lights?

What you did not see if the video was another emergency vehicle that was blocking the ramp from Route 222 South to Route 322, thus giving the Rescue Squad clear passage

First I would like to start out by saying that I was the one driving the rescue that ran the red light and if you are that concerned about it and would like to talk to me feel free to e-mail me at lmohler115@hotmail.com. I would also like to thank Reify and his crew for blocking up the intersection for us to get through. To explain what you did not see in the video was the following...1) As I approached the intersection I saw an Ambulance blocking the 222 South off ramp to 322. At the time I did not know that was you Reify. 2) However as I looked 322 east there was no traffic coming that would have made a turn in front of me. At no time did I as the driver of the Rescue put my crew, the community, or anyone else in jeopardy. Had there been traffic I would have slowed down and proceeded with caution. But since you were not there and do not know me ifightfire I guess you would not have known what I seen and what my thought process was. My number one responsibility is and will always be the safety of my crew and the safety of my community. I am sorry that you are offended by the fact that we have a powercall and ran a red light. Sorry to offend you. Reify I would like to thank you and your crew for giving us free passage of the intersection. I would also like to say great video.

Thanks for the explination Mr Mohler. In the wake of the tragedy in Baltimore and all the other apparatus crashes it is frustratiing to see emergency apparatus traveling through red light without even slowing down. I understand that you felt you did not put your members in jeopardy but just remember that the public has access to the video on Utube and does not have the benefit of the whole story like you told us here. Just remeber if you get there 15 seconds later no one will remember, if you don't get there at all no one will forget.
