Rescue Engine 40 is expected to be in Maryland at the end of next week, it will be taken to FESCO in Elkridge, MD for lettering, and what they need to do there, it should be at the station within 3 weeks. RE 40 is a 2006/2007 Seagrave Marauder II Heavy Duty Rescue Pumper, it has a 1500GPM pump, 500GAL tank, and a 20GAL foam tank. It is 18 inches longer than the current Rescue Squad 40.

Well as of right now, we are keeping Engine 401 and 402 as Class A Pumpers, the Rescue Squad, and now the Rescue Engine, but until then we will be running everything as is now. Engine 401 has been OOS for the past 2 months, they are rebuilding the engine and transmission, so we are waiting for that to come back, as is the BX will be placed in the shed/garage to the rear of the station while 401 & 402, RE 40, and Squad 40 will be placed in the Engine Bay's inside the firehouse!!!

Also I dont know what we are going to do with the Hahn's, there has been talk that we are going to sell 402, but I am not sure, if we do, it will probably be bought by a company member and used as a parade piece, but dont take my word for it..... Also since the county will not recognize the new pumper as Rescue Engine 403, like in my past previous posts on the old forum, it will be recognized as Rescue Engine 40, and thats per the Chief at the station.... Also I dont know how long Dunkirk's Squad 5 (Calvert County) is, but ours is somewhat close in length, the only difference is they have a raised roof in the cab, we dont!!!

I personally dont have any pictures, but we have a stack of them at the station, if I can get some copies of them, I'll be sure to post them on here, the only thing I can put on here is the link to the PDF Drawing and Specs of it. When it comes down in MD next weekend I'll sure to take some pics of it!

Now dont get your hopes up, I'm hoping it will be in OC along with Engine 401, it would be really great to have our pieces in the lineup again, the Chief and the President went back up to Wisconsin on Wednesday, so hopefully it is down at FESCO as I write this!!!
