Accokeek VFD-1966 Ford C-1000/Young E-241 from 1966 to 1979 Accokeek VFD-1969 Ford F-750/Swab E-246(later BR-24) Co.24 1977 Allentown Road-1972 Maxim.This was the original Engine 471 and in 1986 became Engine 322 Allentown Road VFD-1968 Ford C-850/Young E-322 Co.32 Fleet in the 1960's Allentown Road-1972 Young/Bison E-321 This is the 1972 Young/Bison after rehab in 1987 with a 4 person Spartan cab.This engine never went back to 32 and ended up being a reserve pumper until its retirement in the early 90's. Allentown Road VFD-1964 Ford C/Young E-321,This unit became the first Engine 472 when Co.47 started.The '72 Bison replaced this as E-321. Oxon Hill VFD-1965 Pirsch 100'Tiller-Truck 21 Oxon Hill VFD-1971 Pirsch-E-212 More to come....

A few more from 24.... Young factory photo of 24's twin '66 Ford's Swab factory of Old Engine 246 1959 Seagrave 70th Anniversary Sedan Pumper bought from Kentland and sold to Oxon Hill after the '66 Fords were placed in service 1969 International Ambulance-A-248 1945 GMC amphibious Duck bought from Laurel rescue squad in 1970 and retired from service in 1974. This unit only hit the Potomac river a few times that I know of. 1978 Mack CF-E-241 until 1994 when the twin Pierce Lance engines went into service.The twin Mack CF's were placed back in service in June of 1995 for a few days while the Pierce's went to Ocean City for the convention Accokeek's first ladder truck-1978 Seagrave 100'rearmount 1987 Ford F-350-Mini-Pumper 24 More to come....

Great pictures from the past...
I just look at them pictures of all the Volunteer apparatus from the PG Area and wonder how much it will change in 10-20 years from now. Will everything look like county apparatus or will companies still have their "colors".
Its really great to see Volunteer pride and colored apparatus back then and still now!
