New Information from PGFD Local 1619's website:::
On the evening of Wednesday March 21st, Prince George's County Fire & EMS Department Rescue Squad 47 (Allentown Road) was struck by a tractor trailer on the Capital Beltway while arriving on the scene of a personal injury accident.
The resulting high speed impact caused Squad 47 to spin around and roll onto its side. Two members were trapped in the rear crew cab and the officer was ejected from the side of the vehicle. All four crew members were transported to Prince George's Trauma Center by air and ground units for treatment of serious, but non life threatening injuries.
Units from Prince George's County, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Naval District & The District of Columbia worked diligently to free our injured colleagues and the occupants of several other vehicles.
The Prince George's County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics Association would like to extend its gratitude to all of the responders whom assisted in the successful outcome of this incident. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

Well its good to hear ALL 4 Firefighters are doing good.
Sorry about the first reports of 3 brothers being injured but that was the information I was getting from both the scanner and Incident pages. I did not want anyone thinking I was discounting any brother. I wish them all a quick recovery on their injuries.

Just wanted to write that all of the posts that I posted on here about the accident were from what I heard off the radio during the incident, none of the postings came from friends or by just listening to the news, News Channel 4 at 11pm, stated that there were 2 Injured firefighters that were trapped in the squad, when I had heard specifically on the radio that there were 3, thats why I posted 3.. Sorry for the misunderstanding, also one of the firefighters I know personally, and from what I hear, he is pretty banged up, my thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, and the other 3 firefighters, their families, and the crews from Station 47!!!
