EPHRATA TOWNSHIP, PA -- On January 29th, While temperatures remained below freezing and members were sitting down to dinner. Lancaster County Communications transmitted the Rescue Local to the area of the 400 Block of Ridge Avenue for the reported PIC w/One trapped. Crews from the Pioneer Fire Company and Ephrata Area Rescue Squad along with EMS were advised of a single vehicle crash, vehicle rolled over. Ambulance 112-1 arrived moments later greeted by crew members from Eden Fire/Rescue (24) reporting a female patient partially ejected and trapped under the vehicle. Ambulance 112-1 relayed this to fire crews en route and with a corrected address of 387 Ridge Ave. Rescue Squad 115 arrived and placed their tools into service after stabilizing the car with junk yard struts and the wench off the bumper. It took crews about 15 minutes to remove the patient and transport her by ground to LGH. Fire crews remained on scene to help clear hazards.
