EPHRATA TOWNSHIP, PA -- Around 0740 Hours on February 17th, The Rescue Local was transmitted to the area of Scheoneck Road and Springville Road for the reported PIC with a tanker overturned with people trapped on Rescue BOX Alarm 16. Units from the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Company and Ephrata Area Rescue Squad along with EMS from Ephrata EMS, Reamstown EMS and Ephrata Hospital's Medic 4 were advised of an oil tanker vs. explorer with one person trapped and the oil tanker over turned. Chief 16-2 arrived on scene confirming one oil tanker overturned and one patient trapped in the SUV. During the incident, Command requested Hazmat 29 along with Engine 15-2 for manpower and clean up of the oil spilled.
