EPHRATA BOROUGH, PA -- On Monday April 4th, BOX Alarm was transmitted to 491 Church Avenue for the reported Apartment Building on fire. Police Department arrived moments later reporting a fully involved porch on the Charlie Side of the structure with it spreading into the house. Chief 15 arrived confirming a working fire and transmitted the second alarm. Engine 15-1 was directed by command to stop short at the intersection and drop a line into the fire scene as companies went to work. Crews from Companies 15, 12 & 16 made a good stop on the fire and marked the fire unDER control in about 1 hour. Just last week, crews worked a multi-vehicle fire directly across the street.
