EAST EARL TOWNSHIP, PA -- Around 16:45 Hours on Monday April 11th, Companies 312, 36 along with EMS from 319 and Ephrata Hospital's Medic 9 were alerted to Route 625 and Center Church Road for the Reported PIC with Entrapment. Chief 312 was advised by fire radio of a vehicle vs. a school bus with heavy entrapment. Moments later Medic 9 requested aero-medical direct fly after fire radio reported there was a medic on scene with a patient unresponsive. Crews from Companies 312 and 36 went to work as Company 33 was alerted to set up an LZ in the near-by parking lot. During operations, command requested a second Rescue Squad to the scene due to the entrapment. In about 10 mintues crews had the patient freed an in care of EMS. No children were on the bus during the crash as the driver was checked out on the scene.
