CLOVERDALE, Ind. (AP) - Firefighters have extinguished a blaze at an asphalt plant in western Indiana. Officials at Wabash Valley Asphalt say either a pipe carrying oil used to heat asphalt burst or a connection broke sometime before 9:30 a.m., and a heater triggered the fire. Workers quickly shut off the valves. Two workers were in the area at the time of the fire, but no one was injured. The company is located at a quarry in Cloverdale, located along Interstate 70 between Indianapolis and Terre Haute. Officials said they doubt whether the burst pipe or broken connection might have been related to an earthquake felt in the region this morning.
