Collingswood, Camden County NJ – At approx 0400 Hrs. Firefighters from Collingswood and Westmont (Engine 1512) Fire Companies were dispatched to 900 Harrison Avenue for a reported building fire on the morning of August 16, 2007. Companies arrived to find a 250X150 building with heavy smoke showing. Command placed all hands working and the fire quickly escalated to a 2nd alarm. The fire was located in an old Marine supply center which had been converted over to hold supplies for a nearby business. The fire, which went to 3 alarms, brought in communities from Audubon Quint 1-1, Mt Ephraim Rescue 4-5, Gloucester City Quint 5-1, Camden City Engines 7 and 10, Pennsauken Engines 1131, 1132, Cascade 11-4, Merchantville Engine 1292, Wes tmont Tower 15-1 and Squrt 15-1, West Collingswood Heights Engine 15-2, Camden Counties Fire Police, Canteen’s 1 and 2 and Fire Coordinator. The fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshalls Office and Collingswood Fire Prevention. There were no reported injuries at the scene.
