I found this house fire on my way home from the station. I radioed the fire in to dispatch and returned to the station to staff the 1st engine.
We arrived to find fire showing from the front of a 2 story balloon frame house. We had the bulk of the fire knocked down on the first floor in less than 5 minutes. All searches were negative. The dog that the helmet cam video shows me bringing out did not make it.
1 firefighter was treated and released on scene for heat exhaustion.
