Its amazing when you have a clock rolling and hear all the radio traffic how long it takes to rescue one of our own.... Tense moments when you hear the low air alarm vib going off over the radio as he is talking....

Thats was unreal!!!! I got goosebumps watching that video. I can't begin to tell the emotions running thru me listening to him struggle to breath. If this doesn't wake people up to how important RIT is amongst other things, I don't know what will.

A true reality check for newbies and seasoned vets!!!!! We must all come home alive!!!!! Very True!!! Just a few things to remember when doing Large area searches or even smallers ones... and maybe others can add on to this. *Always know your rapid egress points to get out!!! *know where your partner(s) are at all times, don't split up. *Carry your tools... Go in, make sure you can get out! *Know your limits (How much air you use under working conditions... ECT.) *Know your partners limits... (You're both coming out alive no matter what!) *Know your first due buildings (Sizes, Hazards, Stand pipes.. ECT.) *Know your equipment. (Search lines, Tools.. ECT.) *Make sure you understand how and when to use safety devices on Air paks, Radio's and Pass alarm's.
