Sutphen?? They look really nice. I guess I have never seen that style of Sutphen before. We kinda have the same thing at KTFD, an engine and ladder, only not that body type.

Ill take our 05' ferrara inferno with a 2000 gpm pump, 1000g tank over a pierce pumper any day. I am a big fan of pierce just not their pumpers. our inferno was done right check it out its on the website here under apparatus pics. Old saybrook fire pics

I don't like Pierce... but we've already been over the reason why! lol I love Seagrave almost as much as firefighting itself!!! I also like HME/Ahrens Fox, Ferrara, Spartan/Crimson... mostly cause they don't charge and arm, leg and a nut for a quality product!

In fact the engine in my avatar is an HME/Alexis(Alexis is a small, but quality fire apparatus vendor in IL)... and it's ran better with less problems than 3 other front-line rigs that run beside it ( 2 2006 Pierce Enforcer's, 1 1999 Pierce Sabre and a 2006 HME/Alexis Fox). 3 of the 4 were bought in the same year. City council caught on and went with a lower bidder. lol

No discussion... just basing fact and we'll never again buy another Pierce... blargh!!!
