That engine was sitting at Station 35 down here for like two or three months. Did you guys just recently pick it up as a demo or something?

Yup our reserve was 20 years old and had $20,000 in repairs required, so we needed a custom engine fast and vola! there she was from a quality manufacturer for significantly less than other rigs that met our needs.

The other dept i am on(KTFD) got a new Sutphen engine this year and it was also a demo unit. Other then a few minor glitches it seems to working out well with them. I can't wait to get started on training with it to see how it works. We also have a 100ft Sutphen tower that was new in early '07.

Yup 100' of 1 1/2" in the bumper, that compartment is capable of holding 250' but we're considering some other uses for the extra space like cone storage still playing around with it though. She should be inservice in about two weeks we're still waiting on the opticom and MDT mount to come back from powder coat and insta chains, she just came back from having a Command Light, interior med compartment, and lettering added.
