in 2003 they hired a new chief from the outside. He did some much needed house cleaning... ISO, Accreditation, etc. He made a 360 on that dept. They're now rated one of the best fire/rescue services int he Chicagoland area! He came from a dept. closer to Chicago. He HATED the slime lime so any piece of apparatus that was front-line and one purchased there after was painted in a patnented custom "St. Charles" black over red scheme w/ black & butterscotch reflective striping. IN the first 2 yrs they spent well over 1 million dollars in fire apparatus and re-painting. That chief has since left, but his legacy lives on! Pump I'll take ya over there when ya come out! Reserve Engine 107 was in a major MVA about 7 yrs. ago. They were broad sided by a truck on the officers side.

it will not have emergancy lights as of right now... it's a utility and will be used as such. I may get lights and a siren later this year.

Yeah Coot is lucky his department does have reserve pieces. In PG there's no such thing. Getting a reserve from the county is a taking your life in the hands of a piece that should of been retired a long time ago.
