Castle Rock is located in Douglas County about 25 Miles south of Denver. The area is made up of mostly single and multi family homes, some commercial and industrial buildings, heavy rail train lines, 11 miles of Interstate 25 and a large area of wildland urban interface. Castle Rock is a combination department with four fire stations staffed 27/4.

BATTALION 151 - 2005 Ford Expedition 4x4 - 366 Runs

RESCUE ENGINE 151 - 2004 HME / Central States 750gal, 1750gpm - 1,563 Runs

MEDIC 151 - 2005 Ford / Wheeled Coach 4x4 - 1,514 Runs

BRUSH 151 - 2000 Ford F-550 4x4 Type 6 Engine - 55 Runs

ENGINE 153 - 2000 HME / Central States 750gal, 1750gpm - 500 Runs

MEDIC 159 - 2004 Ford / Wheeled Coach 4x4 3rd out Medic Unit - 92 Runs

ENGINE 154 - 2004 HME / Central States 750gal, 1750gpm - 1,227 Runs

BRUSH 154 - 2007 Ford F-450 / BME 4x4 Type 6 Engine - New Unit
This unit will be deploying to wildland fires nationally.

I haven't personally worked with the new ones, when I was on this department I ran on the older 97s & 98s. They seemed cheaply built but still got the job done, rarely were they in for anything but preventative maintenance. Most of the current engineers don't like them very much but they have been dependable. I don't have a photo of it yet because it was at the shops as usual, but CRFD has a Rosenbauer Quint that's a total P.O.S. The 94 reserve Pierce is in service more than the 2001 Rosenbauer.
