DES PLAINES, Ill. -- A 26-year-old man who was killed in a collision involving a tractor-trailer and a Jeep late Tuesday in northwest suburban Des Plaines has been identified.
Arsen Harutyunyan, of 660 McHenry Rd. in Wheeling, was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 4:30 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Harutyunyan was driving a Jeep SUV in the crash at 1175 N. River Rd. in Des Plaines, according to officials.
The crash occurred on Northeast River Road north of East Central Road about 11:15 p.m., according to a Des Plaines police dispatcher.

A tractor-trailer and Jeep collided in the fatal crash, according to Des Plaines Fire Department Lt. Bob Ward, who said police were investigating the cause of the crash.
