Just after 6pm on 11-10-07 KCSD dispatched Comstock North to reported PIA at the intersection of G Ave and Sprinkle Rd. E922 responded and found 2 vehicles that collided. One vehicle had 1 critical pt that had to be extricated from the vehicle. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for observation . Crews went to work with the tools and freed the pt from the vehicle. Pt was taken to the local hospital by ambulance in critical condition. The cause of the crash was due to a police chase. Officers were attempting to stop a possible drunk driver when the driver took off. Speeds were believed to reach 80mph when the suspect ran a red light at the intersection causing the accident.The force of the crash was so great that it literally split the victims Pontiac Bonneville in half. The suspect was the one in critical condition.
