At 5:21 PM, The Twin Valley Fire Department was alerted for Rescue 69 to assist Station 33 (Honey Brook) with a reported accident with entrapment in the area of Route 10 and Reservoir Road. The Rescue Squad responded at 5:24 with a crew of seven volunteers. Units en route were advised by the fireboard of a single vehicle accident, a pick up truck overturned with a subject still inside.
Captain 33 (J.Artus) arrived on the scene and confirmed one subject still inside the vehicle. Rescue 33 and Rescue 69 arrived simultaneously, and immediately stabilized the overturned truck. The cab of the truck was completely collapsed on the passenger side, so rescue crews had to extricate the patient on the drivers side. After removing the driver side door, EMS could gain access and assisted in removing the victim from the wreckage.
Rescue 69 cleared at 6:17 PM.
