Sat 2/10/07- Comstock Fire was dispatched for mutual to City of Galesburg for a 3-story residential structure fire. First arriving units reported fully involved. No one was home at the time of the fire. However 2 family pets perished in the blaze. No injuries were reported. House was deemed a total loss. Sun 2/11/07- Comstock Fire was again dispatched for mutual aide to the city of Galesburg for a fire reported at a local bar downtown. First arriving units reported heavy smoke showing. Interior crews began an initial attack however after a ceiling collapse, the evacuation signal was sounded and all units were pulled out. Several depts were called in due to freezing temps and to help with water supply. 2 firefighters suffered very minor injuries. The bar was open at the time and all patrons made it out safely. The bar may be a total loss.

I remember that bar fire. It was awful inside, like a rats maze...
