On March 20, 2007 at 0108hrs Comstock FD North Station was dispatched for mutual aid to a reported house fire in Richland Twp. in the 6800 blk of Sprinkle Rd. CFD engine 912 was first engine on scene reporting heavy fire showing from a one story ranch style home. Cooper FD arrived and set up portable dump tank for tankers to dump into since there were no hydrants. Tankers from Cooper, Richland and Ross-Augusta provided water supply. Fire was under control after about 2 hrs. The home was log cabin style home with heavy timbers which made things a little difficult. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported. The state fire marshall will be called in to investigate due to suspicious circumstances leading up to the fire.
