I was just informed that this evening that Ross-Augusta FD was dispatched for a fire reported at there twp hall which is also there station. Personnel arrived to find the ambulance inside the station had heavy fire showing from the engine compartment. The ambulance belongs to a private ambulance company that serves that area. Fortunately there is a block wall that separates it from the fire apparatus so as far as I know, there was no damage to any fire equipment. Crews extinguished the fire and the ambulance appears to be a total loss. Unknown if there was any damage to the building. I will update as soon as I have more details. Ross-Augusta FD is about 15 miles east of Kalamazoo. They run out of 2 stations and they cover Ross twp and the city of Augusta.
