Firefighter Killed In Delaware Co. Blaze UPPER CHICHESTER (CBS 3) ¯ One firefighter was killed and two others were injured fighting flames at a Delaware County house fire Wednesday.
Crews were called to the 100 block of Moser Street in Upper Chichester after reports of a two-alarm fire.
At least one firefighter had to be rescued after becoming trapped in the home's basement. He reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained in the blaze.
Two other firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation.
A mother and several children were also reportedly saved from the scene, but it is unclear if they were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Public Safety Director of Lower Chichester has identified the firefighter as Lt. Nicholas Picozzi, Jr. He died at 10:30 am this morning at Chester Crozier medical Center. Picozzi, a volunteer Lieutenant with Lower Chichester Fire Co.
Two Members from Green Ridge Volunteers 63 were also injured.
