An 18-year-old Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty after part of a house in Val-des-Monts (north of Ottawa, Canada) collapsed on him this afternoon. The fire was reported to be out at the time it collapsed, and the young Volunteer Firefighter was the only one inside the building. The fire started at 1345 hours on the second floor of the dwelling and then around 1545 hours, the 18-year-old Firefighter was inside the building, when part of it collapsed. No other Firefighters have been reported to have been injured.
