Kane County: Batavia FD Basement Fire

Around 15:30 hrs. Batavia units were alerted to a smoke in the basement of a house at 541 West Wilson St. only two blocks down from Station 1. At the same time, Engine 2 was responding to a residential fire alarm, putting them O.O.S. to respond. BFD Chief 17 went on scene with smoke showing from the basement requesting a General Alarm. Units arrived on scene, made a quick knock, found some extension. Units cleared within an hour.
