Before 4pm on Sun. Jan. 20th Kaneville Fire and Big Rock EMS were alerted to a vehicle fire on I-88 MM 103 eastbound. R-E 1601 went on scene with a small "Toyota" car with an engine compartment well off. The crew of 1601 stretched a line and had the fire out within minutes. Due to the nature of the call and the subzero temps. Lt. 1621 requested Tender 1605 to the scene as well. Units were on scene about a half hour and then cleared.
Kaneville Units: Rescue-Engine 1601 w/ 5 Tender 1605 w/ 2
Big Rock Units: Medic 1552 w/ 2 medics

Problem solved... \\\Thats not what I asked , I asked it a car fire was post worthy , ya know makeing a whole topic for a car fire seems a little funny to me , unless it was a car fire full of babies or a car fire with entrapment involving a bus load of nuns ..... .. But ok

Tanker was because we don't have a water supply and having a rig freeze up sucks...
The second question... we get a MEDIC unit on every call. EVERY CALL!!!
