Kane Co 1/20/08 - Big Rock General Alarm

At around 21:30 hrs. Big Rock Fire was alerted to 49W157 Scott Rd. for a chimney fire w/ extension to the wall and roof structure. Chief 1511 arrived on scene with smoke pushing from the west side addition eve and soffet. 1511 requested an engine and tender from Kaneville, an engine from Hinckley and an engine from Plano fire change of quarters. Engine 1502 went on scene and lead out. Kaneville R-E 1601 arrived on scene and was ordered to open up the roof. Roof was opened and units made a knock a small wall fire. Units were on scene for a little over and hour and then cleared.

Note: Many units were unavailable due to still being committed to the neighboring Sugar Grove fire rekindle.
