City of Grand Rapids Michigan: Around 11am this morning, AeroMed Helicopter was doing a training excersise involving the pilot and a evaluator from the FAA. As the pilot was lifting off the roof of Spectrum Butterworth Hospital, the helicopter made a sudden erratic move and the tail rotor hit a radio antenna tower and the helicopter nose dived into the roof and caught fire. Both the pilot and evaluator were able to escape the burning chopper and are in stable condition.
