Report of Smoke coming from a buisness, Kalamazoo Stripping
Around 0700 this morning a report of smoke was called to Portage fire coming from Kalamazoo Metal Stripping. When fire crews arrived onscene they determined that it was a vapor cloud coming from inside the building. Hazmat crews were called in. Apparently there was a bad reaction involving sulfuric acid. Several major roadways were shutdown and buisnesses near the incident were either evacuated or sheltered in place. Crews are still on the scene at the time of this post due to high LEL levels still in the building. No serious injuries reported at this time
