From www.Bv9fd.comFrom Thursday until Saturday, members of Company 9 were at the Pierce plant located in Appleton Wisconsin. With our guide Randy Schwartz in the lead, members arrived at the plant at 1300 hours. Around 4 hours were spent looking over the new rig and watching the guys work on her. After a tour of the plant, everyone went out for a nice dinner and some drinks. After checking on the rig in the morning, everyone met at the airport where there was a problem. Somehow the tickets were wrong and we were stuck in Wisconsin for another day. Eventually we returned to Bladensburg Saturday afternoon. Completion of the new Engine should be on September 10th, and should arrive at Bladensburg around the 24th.

So is the engine just their replacement for the quint? So now they are going to run 3 engines and a truck?

So is the engine just their replacement for the quint? So now they are going to run 3 engines and a truck? i think there going to replace one of them because of the 3rd pumper policy down here 9 is going to be keeping a 3rd Pumper (E93) thanks to the Town of Bladensburg... But the county (County Chief) went back on their word for them to have a second special service... so they had to ditch the Quint and order a wagon. But TS-9 was an ENGINE and not a TRUCK... but was special requested alot for work.
