(12) Vulcan streamlight handlights??? WHY???
Incandescent and LED compartment lighting. Another... why?
(10) pike poles. Waste of money... when are you going to need that manky hooks?!
30Kw PTO generator??? HOLY PISS! Are they trying to power a house???
There's a lot wasted money on this piece... while a "COOL" rig it's a poor judgment for use of money.

Second, Its a truck... if it can hold it, stow it! 10 poles isn't that many if they are all different sizes and types. Third, Power... you may think its too much till you need it. You never know what you going to need to power. It's a ladder truck, it has a different function on the fire ground then your typical wagon. I could think of a couple things that are a waste of money, but most of the stuff you listed... I wouldn't.  |

This is an all show rig for a dept. that does 450-500 runs a year. What dept. this slow needs a rescue, wagon and rescue-engine-truck? I mean seriously... it's cool they have all this stuff, but is it all needed? We run 3 times this amount at Winfield and we have 1 front line engine and tanker and 1 reserve engine. But never-the-less... congrats on the new rig. |
