Westmoreland County has some of the most unique apparatus in the state and the second or third most fire departments. West Newton operated this American LaFrance TDA until 2007 Carbon still operated this Seagrave TDA in early 2007...they recieved a large grant for an apparatus purchase around that time as well so I'm not sure if this truck is still in service. Note the booster reel located on the tractor! City of Greensburg FD operates this Pierce TDA that was purchased from the City of Pittsburgh. Truck 79-2 runs out of it's own station with an air truck, foam truck, and utility vehicle used by the blood hound search team.

Additionally, I think the only other TDA operated in Westmoreland County is a refirbished Seagrave owned by the Monesson Fire Dept. Any additional info on these rigs would be great!

True..West Newtons tiller is no longer in service..They replaced it with a 100' rear mount seagrave, I am not sure where from. They did also get the squirt from Bladensburg. Carbon did sell the tiller which was Greensburgs old tiller to a private collector upon recieving their new 100' SPH Sutphen. Greensburg and Monessen are the only remaining tillers in Westmoreland County.
