As the subject implies, what does you're department do to raise funds? I'm always looking for unique and sometimes simple ideas on fund raising and what other departments do to raise funds for a specific project?
Provide as much details as possible because while you're fund raising event may not work for me, it just might help others.

Gun bash, cash bash, tool are big around here. They are quick ways to make a ton of money. Raffle off a big screen tv, alot of people go for that. Maybe around summer raffle off a grill and gift cards, you could do anything

If you put in the time and you dont go cheap cash, gun, and tool bashes. $20 dollar tickets to get in and you get all the free food, beer, and pop you ever want. You make around 30 thousand on one night if your members are willing to sell all of the tickets and put in a solid night of hard work.

We do an annual "all you can eat" fish fry. It's been an annual event for over 30 years now and keeps growing in size every year. Local folks will donate homemade desserts, and we cook everything else. fried catfish, hush puppies, beans, etc. Also we do two boot drives during the large NASCAR events. They usually work out well, weather permitting.
