5 Anne Arundel County Firefighters were injured April 21st when Engine 131 (Riviera Beach) was involved in a motor vehicle collision with entrapment when the driver lost control of the rig and hit a utility pole. Engine 131 a 1992 E-One Cyclone was responding to a Medic Local and crashed on Fort Smallwood Road in Riviera Beach. The OIC had to be extricated from the cab by Squad 11 (Orchard Beach). The driver and OIC were flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma, while the 3 firefighters in the back were transported via Ambulance/Medic Units to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie. All 5 have been treated and released.
