3426 Donnell Drive, PG Box 26-11 reported odor of natural gas in the building.
Approximately at 13:00 hours on May 7th PG Fire Communications dispatched engines 823, 817, rescue squad 827 and Battalion Chief 803 to the above address for reported odor of natural gas in building. Engine 823 arrived on the scene with nothing evident. Engine 826 cleared a previous call and responded to the call placing engine 817 in service. Battalion Chief 803 arrived on the scene establishing the Donnell Drive command. Battalion Chief 803 requested an additional truck and engine on the call bringing engine 838 and truck 5. Engine 829 cleared their call and responded only to end up in a MVA (unknown details at this time).
After listening to the audio file at 13:22 hours the Delta section reported an exterior gas fed fire and within 20 seconds of announcing the fire the building exploded.
Battalion Chief 803 had ordered the building evacuated prior to the explosion.
