Also have some other pictures posted at www.67fire.com, since someone was chased off by the cone chuckers ;D...... Nah, I was just restricted by the "Border Patrol"... They wanted all media people in the yard across the street with trees blocking the house that was on fire... so I basicly took what I could and just left... Oh well! Decent job by crews on the scene by the way!

So let me get this straight. Tower 26 and Tanker 26 were on first alarm and failed, but Engine 262 which was not on first alarm got out??? Why would you let the special services sit and run the engine??

My guess would be either they did not have a qualified crew or a driver for them. I know that for the longest time Tanker 76 was the only thing on the street until the second alarm was requested. The second arriving engine requested to run the assignment and the third arriving engine was part of the second alarm. Plus if you can, note the position of the tanker that blocked out Truck 23's ladders from being used.

Who's Ground ladders where thrown? Tower 25? Cause I noted all the closest units to the scene all had their ladders still.
Well atleast they had two Fire Police to every firefighter on scene... LOL
Freelancing?

24 had ground ladders off and I think some from T25. 24,25 and 67 placed them.

Maybe its just me but it seems like thats an awful lot of equipment for a house fire.

The second alarm was requested, due to the only unit being on the street for the longest time was a Tanker coming driver only.

The second was hit for the ManPower as well. I don't doubt anyone else would have hit it as well. DC23 did a great job for what he had initially as well as through out the incident.

2nd arriving engine requested to run and 3rd arriving engine was on the 2nd alarm?? That's pretty impressive. How many chief officers in POVs or DOVs made it to the scene ahead of their apparatus which failed?? Does anyone else see this as an increasing problem around here??
