KCSD reporting people have flipped there boat in the river

Arrived onscene with a report that there was 3 people in the water about 15 min down the river. 904 (Lt) along with 2 others launched boat 955 and headed down river. Found 3 kayakers that had flipped there boats and lost there boats and oars in the swift current of the river. The 3 persons found were on shore, unharmed and transported back to the launch site. KCSD then advised they had a report of 2 more people in the river down stream. 955 headed back down river. KCSD advised that the people were rescued by the Allegan County Dive Team. In all 5 people were rescued from the river, all with either none or minor injuries.

That`s a pretty fast peice of water along there. Did they get the other 2 near the lowhead damn at Plainwell? I doubt they made it that far, but you never know.

Yes they were rescued by the Allegan County Dive Team near Plainwell.
