Vermont Firefighter Ejected, Killed in Crash

An East Charleston, Vt. volunteer firefighter was killed Aug. 30 after being ejected during a tanker rollover. Firefighter Kenneth Frizzell, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene.
While coming down and near the bottom of a very steep hill, the tanker struck a telephone pole and crashed off of the roadway. Frizzell, the only occupant, was ejected, according to the USFA.
Frizzel was returning from a structure fire when the incident occurred about 1:11 p.m..
