Reported apartment on fire w/people trapped.

Chief 81 O/S with nothing showing
PD reporting heavy smoke inside building, trying to get people out.
E84-1 to layout on arrival.
TWR 81 to nose in with E84-1
Chief 81 taking command, reporting a stove fire, fire is knocked... Heavy smoke through out.
PPV being set-up... Fire is knocked and under control.
Command reporting fire is knocked, both searches are negative, no people trapped....
