BOROUGH OF EPHRATA, PA -- Around 05:22 Hours on Sunday May 20th, BOX Alarm 15 was transmitted to the intersection of North State & Chestnut Streets for the reported house on fire. Lancaster Fire Radio advised Chief officers from Company 15 of reports of a rear of a house on fire in the area of Chestnut Street on North State. Fire radio transmitted the Second Alarm with-in minutes of the first dispatch as multiple reports of a working fire were being reported. Chief 15 took the "North State Street" Command on arrival and reported smoke showing from the home. Units from Pioneer Fire, went to work deploying multiple water lines and throwing ladders around the structure. Crews reported a heavy fire condition to the outside of the "Charlie" side of the home as it start to make its way inside. Crews knocked the bulk of the fire down from the exterior as interior crew battled their way through the 2.5 Story MOD. Crews from Pioneer, Lincoln & Akron battled the blaze and stopped the bulk of the fire to the outside charlie side of the dwelling. No injuries were reported as officers investigated the cause. Companies 15, 16 & 12 Along with EMS from 17 & 112 worked the scene as Companies 17 & 14 relocated to the emptied firehouses.
