BRECKNOCK TOWNSHIP, PA -- Around 21:43 Hours on Thursday May 24th, The Rescue Local was transmitted to the area 1049 Reading Road in Brecknock Township for the reported PIC with possible people trapped. The assignment brought in EMS Companies 319, 17, 37, ECH Medic 3, Berks Medic 680 Station #2 along with Engine Company 33 and Rescue Squad 39. Chief 33-2 was on scene as companies started to mark up on the air with communications. Chief 33-2 confirmed with fire radio of a two vehicle crash with one patient trapped. Engine 33-1 arrived on scene with orders to start rescue operations and hazard control as EMS started patient care. Crews from E33-1 cribbed and started extrication of the patient as EMS aided the other patients on scene. Rescue Squad 39 assisted with the completion of the extrication and had all patients in care of EMS with-in fifteen minutes of dispatch.
