I believe Chief 84-1 was a Mile out with a Header Showing.
Truck Co.'s flowing Master Streams at this time to the Overhauled Part.
Manpower Staging in Front of Engine 84-1.

Article and Pic from www.wgal.comUpdate: Explosions, Flames Tear Through Facility, Neighbors Say COLUMBIA, Pa. -- Flames and explosions tore through buildings at a Columbia, Lancaster County, disposal company this afternoon, according to residents who live nearby. A large plume of smoke could be seen from miles away as a workshop and garage burned at the River Valley Disposal company facility, which is near the intersection of Deascenti Drive and Franklin Road. Workers were inside the facility when the fire started, but it's unclear if anyone was hurt. Firefighters from Columbia, Wrightsville, Mount Joy, Washington Borough and Mountville all responded to the fire. Crews had difficulty getting water to the scene. They had to pump it in from nearly a half mile away.

engine 84-1 laid line up the lane and the second in engine never picked it up. that caused a serious problem with getting water to the fire. probally would have kept it to 3 sheds...
