WOW... I can't believe them pictures inside the firehouse... WTF!
It looked more like a hangout then a VFD... Where's the pride?
I would have shut down that firehouse too. They trashed that place, and can't even respond to alarms... Maybe they had to much to drink and couldnt... what a shame!

This is a disgrace to the fire community, and not to mention the loss of trust with the residents.
They have always had issues, a couple of years ago they had their Command/EMS vehicle repossessed. Then the Chief was found to be embezzling money from the fire department, on top of their small operating budget.
The Chesilhurst Fire Company houses
3 Engines
1 Mini Pumper/Brush Unit
1 Tender/Tanker
1 Chief/Command Vehicle
All equipment is pretty much antiquated. Upgrades and new equipment have always been an issue between the Fire Company and the Borough.

i thought Chesilhurst was already part of winslow or waterford or what ever

Back when they found out the Chief was embezzling money, they considered splitting the town to Winslow and Waterford for fire services. They cleaned house back then also, and voted in the current Chief that was supposed to reorganize and clean up the firehouse. BLS has always been covered by Waterford Twp.

Its sad to see that they have no pride in being firefighters. What a shame.

its pethitic that 1 volly house in camden county can make the rest of the county look bad speaking from personaly experience there are no other houses in the country that are anywhere close to that bad and their is a shit load of volly pride in this county also

Not in anyway excusing these guy's for doing what they did, but if the Borough helped them out a little more they probably would take more pride in their station.

Only if that Chief/Administrator actually does his job correctly, and works well with Career and Volunteer members. Whole other story, whole other town.
