This one happened in Voorhees about an hour before the Audubon Job. 3/22/08 0147 hours Task Force 663 was dispatched to 125 Cooper Rd. For a dwelling fire (Two story Mansion under construction) Quint 663 from the front ramp of the firehouse requested the All Hands due to a glow and column in the sky. Camden County Communications also advised that there were several exposures, being the whole block along Paradise Dr. which backs up to the fire building. Callers reported large embers flying, brush, grass, trees, sheds, and playhouses on fire from the radient heat. Upon arrival Command directed units to protect the exposures on Paradise Dr. And requested two Brush Units to the scene to assist. Another exposure along Cooper Rd. was threatened and protected immediately. All exposure fires were contained and the fire was placed under control in under 30 minutes. The $2.2 Million Dollar Home was deemed a complete loss and crews poured water on the burning pile of rubble till 0600 hours. Don't know the exact number but I believe there have been 30 working fires in Camden County this month. May be a couple more but somewhere around 30 for the month.
