Essex dept. 6 was dispatched to a chimney fire with no extension.
oldsaybrook engine 351 responded from banquet station coverage to fill the assignment with ladder 671 and tanker 663.
chains were dropped down the chimney and had extreme difficulty punching through atleast five complete blockages throughout the operation. no extension found.
all units returned to service without incident. at 1852
