Wedensday Night at 20:00 - Elizabeth firefighters were called to the area of CR114 & CR17 for a residential structure fire. First arriving Captain 12 found a large two story home with a walkout basement and a visible chimney fire.
An offensive attack began and several lines went into operation. In sub-zero weather several water supply problems became evident. Over 1 mile of supply line was laid from a cistern to the fire using three engines for pumping along the way.
Several minor collapses occured and 4-6 firefighters were injured from falls. The house was a total loss and units remained on scene through the night.
